Terms of Purchase
Last updated: 2026-08-27
These terms apply to purchases from FreeHunt, unless otherwise agreed. Your use of the service is governed by our terms of use.
1. What we sell
FreeHunt sells two kinds of things. Which products exist, what they are called, what they cost and how long a subscription period runs are stated at the time of purchase.
- Tracker with accessories — goods delivered to you. One-time purchase.
- Subscription — a service that runs for a subscription period and renews automatically. A subscription is tied either to a tracker or to your account.
These terms do not cover donations. A donation is a voluntary contribution, not a purchase — no goods and no service are provided in return.
Where a tracker is sold together with a subscription, they are separate products with separate prices. The tracker is a standalone GPS device that can be used with compatible SIM cards from other providers. With your own SIM card it is reconfigured for another service by sending an SMS command to the device; no cable, software or computer is needed. The tracker's usefulness therefore does not depend on the FreeHunt service continuing to exist.
Renewal adds a new period counted from the day the current period expires. Example: a one-year period expiring on 2027-03-26 is renewed to 2028-03-26.
2. Prices and VAT
All prices are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK), including VAT. The applicable price is shown at the time of purchase.
We may change the price of a subscription before it renews. If we do, you will be notified a reasonable time in advance, and the change applies from the next period. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel the subscription before it renews.
3. Payment
Payment is made using the payment methods offered at checkout. The purchase is confirmed by email.
If you are under 18, a guardian's consent is required for purchases and subscriptions.
4. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
What an account subscription includes develops over time. We add, change and remove features in order to develop the service and adapt it to new technology and to changed conditions at the suppliers the service relies on. The features included at any given time are set out in the product description in the shop. Changes during an ongoing period are made at no additional cost to you.
If the content of an account subscription is significantly reduced, meaning that features are removed without being replaced, you will be notified by email in reasonable time in advance and may then cancel the subscription with a refund of the unused part of the period. A feature being changed, replaced by another solution or redesigned is not in itself a reduction.
Subscriptions renew automatically for a new period of the same length. Payment is taken from the payment method you chose at purchase.
Where a subscription is sold together with a tracker, it is activated only when you register the tracker's IMEI. No subscription time is consumed before that, however long has passed since the purchase.
We remind you by email at least one month before each renewal.
You can cancel at any time under Payments and subscriptions in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period — you keep what you have already paid for.
If you delete your account, subscriptions tied to the account end immediately, and the remainder of a paid period is not refunded.
If we terminate your subscription for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the period.
Subscriptions tied to a tracker follow the tracker. If you transfer the tracker, the subscription is not renewed at the end of the period, but any remaining period passes to the new owner. The new owner can renew the tracker’s subscription.
5. Delivery
The tracker is delivered to the address you provide at purchase. The estimated delivery time is shown at the time of purchase. Shipping within Sweden is included. Subscriptions bought separately are activated digitally once payment has been completed. A subscription sold together with a tracker is activated only when you register the tracker's IMEI.
6. Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act. For the tracker, the period runs from the day you received the goods. For subscriptions, which are services, it runs from the day the contract was concluded.
The goods must be returned in substantially unchanged condition. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, and returns are sent to the address at the foot of this page.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to a subscription once the service has been activated and you have expressly agreed that the service begins within the withdrawal period.
You may use our model withdrawal form, but you do not have to.
7. Complaints
You have a three-year right to make complaints about the tracker under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. If there is a defect, contact us at support@freehunt.app.
You pay the return shipping when you send the item in. If it turns out to have a defect covered by that right, we reimburse the shipping cost, and the defect is remedied at no cost to you.
The right to make complaints covers defects that were present at delivery. Battery capacity decreases over time and with use; such decrease is normal wear and not a defect in the goods.
FreeHunt undertakes to receive, store and display the positions reported by connected devices — trackers as well as phones. If the service does not work as described during a paid period, you are entitled to remedy or a price reduction under consumer law.
A position that is missing, delayed or inaccurate is not in itself a defect in the service. Tracking requires the device to have satellite reception, to reach the mobile network and to have sufficient battery charge — and none of these can be guaranteed. Coverage is provided by the mobile operator and is outside FreeHunt's control; its absence at a particular place, in particular terrain or on a particular occasion is not a defect.
Battery life varies with how often the device reports, with temperature — cold reduces capacity noticeably — and with reception, since weak coverage makes the device transmit harder. Charging the device before use is the user's responsibility.
If we remove or materially reduce a feature you have paid for, and you cancel your subscription as a result, we refund the unused part of the period.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is an aid, not a guarantee that a dog or a person can be located at any given moment. It does not replace your own judgement or the safety routines that apply when hunting.
9. Personal data
Your data is processed in order to fulfil the purchase and provide the service. Read our privacy policy for more information.
10. Disputes
In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement, you may contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se. FreeHunt undertakes to participate in ARN's review.
